About Us
Celebrating more than 50 years, the Human Resource Association of Greater Oak Brook, also known as HRA Oak Brook, provides professional development and networking opportunities for association members and other Human Resources professionals, consultants, vendors, and students. Currently, over 125 individual members represent over 100 business and non-profit organizations in Oak Brook and other Chicago-area suburbs.
Governed by an elected Board of Directors, HRA Oak Brook upholds:
The Mission to equip and empower HR professionals with the tools, resources, and relationships to develop and execute their organizational strategy.
The Vision to be the go-to resource for HR and business professionals in the Chicagoland area through education, thought leadership, certification, community, and advocacy.

HRA Greater Oak Brook is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Local Chapter 212. HRA's student chapter affiliation is with the College of DuPage and Lewis University.

Get to Know Us
The Human Resource Association of Greater Oak Brook is a SHRM affiliate, a Platinum Chapter of SHRM, and a SHRM Learning System Chapter Champion. With the Platinum award, we have been recognized for our commitment to meaningful programming and services for our members. With the SHRM Learning System award, we have been recognized for our hard work to elevate the Human Resources profession through professional development and Human Resources knowledge among our members. Most of our programming is held locally in the Oak Brook area. We host networking events, member outings, and seasonal parties as well as offering a variety of online webinars and meetings.
