President’s Award

NOTE: The 2010 Board is in the process of reviewing the criteria for award consideration.

Those nominated will be contacted by the HRA board and asked to submit support information to be considered for the award.

Human Resource Candidates for nomination should possess qualities in the following areas:

  • Demonstrated Professional Leadership/Association Participation
  • Accomplishments within their Company / Employer
  • Community Involvement; Professional Communication Achievement (e.g. articles or quotes published in newsletters, newspapers, magazines and/or trade publications, radio/television interviews, etc.)
  • Individual Leadership Qualities

About the President's Award

Each year the President's Award recognizes the efforts of an individual in the HR profession who has provided outstanding leadership, demonstrated creativity and high performance with a direct impact in the field of HR management.

To determine the recipient of award, nominees are asked to provide examples of their accomplishments in some or all of the following areas:

  • Demonstrated leadership or participation in HRA functions
  • Accomplishments within their own company
  • Examples of community involvement
  • Examples of communication achievements such as articles or quotes in newsletters, magazines or newspapers, or interviews on radio and television
  • Examples of their individual leadership qualities

Of the nominees for consideration, many substantial accomplished were cited including professional certifications requiring significant personal time devoted to professional development; continuing education, both credit and non-credit, exceeding expectations on a regular basis in terms of job performance; extensive community involvement demonstrating valuable leadership and many hours of service devoted to the HRA and the SHRM/HRA Affiliated Student Chapters in diverse capacities.

During the past several years, HRA has recognized the talent and achievements of individuals who represent the determination and commitment of so many HR practitioners within our chapter. We look forward to continuing this annual award and further demonstrating to our peers and the general public the value and impact of the HR profession on the quality of commerce and the standard of living.
